  If you meet someone that have seen it and they agree with you(a fine w) just shake the dust from

  your shoes and move on, but those that are not aware of what is going on, yes tell them

  you need to check it out.

  What is their official explanation for not allowing beards?

  i ask because my gf, who knows all about my jw upbringing, convinced me to grow a goatee, just to see how it looks.

  we both decided it looked good so i decided to keep it.

  i tried to explain to her that as a jw, i wasn't allowed to grow one, but then drew a blank when she asked me why.

  cofty: when you mention something negative to JW's you know what

  happen. The first thing out of their mouth, it's a lie. We need the RF to

  view the RC. But when you tell them, Wow they did a great job down under.

  They don't get a lot of great news from the wordily. LOL

  After 27 years I'm still trying to get my family to wake up. If they think something

  came from me about the borg they will not consider it. So I told my sister, who

  have never been a JW to tell my JW Elder brother how she was Impressed by

  the elders there.

  A term used by JW's only. Ask someone of another religion and they will look at

  you with puzzlement. Faith and discreet what? Sure it's in the bible but most

  religions don't focus on that. Another ploy to distinguish them from other religions.

  Who speaks of the 144000, KH, field service, reporting your time, MS, publishers,

  goats and the New order...

  name of the game, but this may not be the best advertising for Jehovah.

  Terry: we were told we need to cut our mustaches in the early 70's.

  All the brothers (black) did so except me and another brother, I was

  new in the borg. About a year or so the brothers that shaved their mustaches

  started sporting them again. I never could figure out what happen. I should

  have haul ass then.

  A thought, for you guys still stuck in the organization for what ever reason,

  grow a beard. You can't get DF, you don't have to prepare for parts for the meetings,

  no FS..You will not be ask to do anything.

  When the big one comes and billions of people are going up in flame, Angels

  may not be able to distinguish you from a worldly person because of your beard.

  Try telling that to a person with a healthy mind.

  This was told to me in the 70's when the issue of mustaches came up.
